This Privacy Policy explains how Orqis (“Orqis”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our bulk order-placement service for Shopify brands (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

Orqis is a business-to-business software tool that lets Shopify brands and their teams place bulk barter, gifting, and collaboration orders on their own Shopify stores. For privacy questions, contact us at support@orqis.scrapora.in.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and authentication identifiers when an account is created for you (by Google sign-in or an email/password provisioned by your workspace).
  • Workspace & configuration data — your brand/workspace name, team members, tags, discount settings, and connected data sources.
  • Shopify credentials — the API credentials you (or your admin) provide to connect a Shopify store. These are stored encrypted and used only to place orders on your behalf.
  • Order & recipient data — the recipient names, contact details, shipping addresses, and product selections you upload or sync in order to place orders. This data is processed on behalf of, and under the instructions of, your brand.
  • Usage & log data — activity logs, order outcomes, and basic technical information needed to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the Service — placing and tracking orders on the Shopify store you connect.
  • To authenticate users and enforce workspace access and seat limits.
  • To send transactional emails (account access, and notifications such as a completed order batch).
  • To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use recipient/customer data for advertising.

4. Service providers (sub-processors)

We use trusted third parties to run the Service. They process data only as needed to provide their function:

  • Google Firebase — authentication and database (Firestore).
  • Shopify — the commerce platform where your orders are placed (using credentials you provide).
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting infrastructure.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Groq — optional AI assistance for address correction, only if enabled for your workspace.

5. Data security

We protect data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest for sensitive secrets such as Shopify credentials (AES-256-GCM). Access to data is restricted by workspace membership and role. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We retain workspace and order data for as long as your workspace is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your data as described below; some records may be retained where required by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because much of the data we process is on behalf of a brand (our customer), requests relating to recipient/customer data should be directed to the relevant brand. 8. International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and similar technologies required to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to individuals under 18.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
